Dicie Adiline Hyman

Dicie A. Hyman, 89, of Mt. Holly passed away July 17, 2018 at Lincolnton Rehabilitation Center.  She was born on March 30, 1929 in Union County to the late Rev. John and Katie VanDyke.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bennie Wallace Hyman; daughter, Barbara Ann Hyman; and step mother, Ada Mae VanDyke.  She was a member of Full Gospel Church in Belmont where her father ministered.

Dicie is survived by sons, Scott Hyman of Mt. Holly, NC and Mike Gray of Hickory, NC; stepson, Keith Hyman and wife Elaine of Lowell, NC; daughters, Gloria Bobbitt of Shelby, NC and Peggy Harrison and husband Eric of Atlanta, GA; stepdaughter, Kathy Stewart and husband Tommy of Clover, SC; 13 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 11 am at Hillcrest Gardens, Mt. Holly with Rev. Jerry Pennington officiating.
