Dewey Stansell

Dewey Edwin Stansell, 86, of Mt. Holly passed away on December 8, 2020 at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia.  He was born in Pickens County, SC on June 28, 1934 to the late Lunie and Irene Baxter Stansell.  He is also preceded in death by his brothers, Ernest Stansell and Jack Stansell and sister, Betty Jo Robinson.  Dewey attended The Pointe Church in Belmont and loved reading his Bible.  He loved being outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping. He also had a "green thumb" and enjoyed gardening.  He loved his family and his grandchildren.

Survivors include his daughters, Regina Berry and husband Ty and Susan Murphy and husband Michael; son, Jeffrey Stansell; brothers, John Stansell and wife Jean and Richard Stansell; sister, Opal Thomas; and 5 grandchildren, Shenna, Corey, Allie, Mack, and Christa.

Services will be held by the family at a later date.
