Dennis William Porter, a beloved companion, veteran, and esteemed computer engineer, passed away on November 23, 2024, at his residence. He was born on June 20, 1948, in Elkhart, Indiana, and his journey through life was marked by dedication, knowledge, and a loving spirit.

Dennis proudly served in the United States Marine Corps, displaying the values of commitment and bravery. After his military service, he transitioned into a successful careers with Office Depot and Xerox. His vast knowledge and skills in technology allowed him to contribute significantly to his field, earning the respect of colleagues and friends alike.

A person of many interests, Dennis was known for his avid reading and a particular fondness for western films. He cherished riding his motorcycle, often finding peace and joy in the open road. His involvement in the community was significant; he was a proud member of the American Legion Post 34 and the Moose Club Lodge #1720, where he forged lasting friendships.

Dennis is survived by his loving companion of 18 years, Margaret "Angel" Creson. His family also includes his step-daughter, Alicia Owens, and her husband Danny. He took great pride in his role as a grandfather to his beloved granddaughter, Alexia, and grandsons, Noah and Michael. Dennis shared his home with three joyful dogs, Tink, Scooter, and Appolo, along with his cherished cat, KatDog.

As we remember Dennis William Porter, we celebrate a life filled with love, knowledge, and camaraderie, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished by all who knew him.
