Debra "Debbie" Deal

Debra "Debbie" Jane Deal, 66, of Dallas, passed away on Saturday May 1, 2021 at her residence. She was born in Gaston County on August 11, 1954, the daughter of the late Charles Edgar Pearson and Vera Chapman Pearson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Dwight Pearson, and her canine companion, Sassy. Debbie had a heart of gold and enjoyed helping anyone she could. She was also known as Mama Debbie because she was everyone's mom. She loved to shop and collected bells and butterflies. Above all, Debbie loved her family dearly.

Debbie is survived by her husband, Gerald Daniel Deal, Sr.; children, Robin Pearson, Jacob Deal and wife Brittany, Patience Mills, Madison Mills; special daughter, Sophie McDaniel; stepchildren, Gerald Deal Jr. and Robin, David Deal and Crystal, Jerry Lynn Jenkins and Julie Tilley; sister, Gloria Jenkins; grandchild, Liam Brezeale; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 6, 2021, from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Benson Funeral & Cremation Services of Mount Holly. A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 7, 2021, 12:00 P.M. at the funeral home, with interment following at Hollywood Cemetery in Gastonia.
