David Wayne Shuler

David Wayne Shuler, 55, of Gastonia passed away Monday, August 31, 2020 at his residence.  He was born in Gaston County on November 20, 1964 to the late Calvin and Betty Patton Shuler.  David was a previous member of Catawba Heights Baptist Church.  He was also a previous truck driver for Knight Transportation.  He loved his family; especially his daughters and his favorite pet cat, Trixy.  He enjoyed mountain trips, family gatherings, and eating out from time to time.

David is survived by his daughters, Kim Patterson and fiance' Vinson Foxx and Candice Shuler; best friend that he considered as a son, Joseph Wall; sister, Kathy Blattau and fiance' Jimmy Fite; brother, Joe Shuler and wife Sheila; and 3 grandchildren, Addilynn, Chance, and Aziah.

A Memorial Service to celebrate the life of David will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Benson Funeral & Cremation Services, Mt. Holly with Rev. Scott Lee officiating.  Visitation will follow immediately after the service.
