Christopher "Chris" Lee Childers

June 9, 1953 — June 20, 2018

Christopher "Chris" Lee Childers, 65, of Rock Hill passed away June 20, 2018 at his residence.  He was born on June 9, 1953 in Charleston, SC to Janet Ramsey Childers and the late Dewey Christopher Childers.  In his spare time, Chris enjoyed golfing and cooking.  He had a love of all sports; especially the SC Gamecocks.  He also enjoyed spending time at Pawleys Island. 

Chris is survived by his wife, LeeAnn Carroll Childers; daughter, Briana Leigh Childers; brother, David Childers (Marsha); sister, Paula Winesburg (Jeff); nieces, Krystal Mizwa (Chris), Lindsey Winesburg (Stephen); nephew, Kyle Childers and Luc Winesburg (Katherine);  several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and also his dog, Layla and cat, Mason.

A funeral service to celebrate Chris' life will be held Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at First Wesleyan Church, 1830 York Hwy, York, SC 29745 with Rev. Todd Reynolds officiating.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.  Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, York, SC.

The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice & Community Care of Rock Hill, the PCU staff at Piedmont Medical Center, and to special caregiver Jasmine Ayers.
