Charles Franklin Griggs

Charles Franklin Griggs, 76, of Mt. Holly, passed away on November 7, 2024. He was born on October 2, 1948, to the late Charles Griggs Sr. and the late Betty McGowan Holmes

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Sherry Griggs; daughters, Susan Fleming (Mark) and Tammy Caldwell (Jim); sisters, Judy Carias and Sissy Hendrickson; eight grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

Charles found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He delighted in fishing, often spending tranquil hours by the water's edge, where he found peace and reflection. His passion for football brought spirited discussions and excitement into his home, as he cheered for his favorite teams alongside family and friends. Above all, it was the moments spent together that truly filled his heart with happiness.

In addition to his parents, Charles is also preceded in death by his sisters, Jan Hendrickson and Carol Ann Griggs. 

Charles will be honored during A Time of Memory on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Benson Funeral & Cremation in Mt. Holly, NC. Family, friends, and loved ones are invited to gather and celebrate a remarkable life well-lived—a life defined by love, laughter, and unwavering support.
