Cathy Jean Mercer

Cathy Jean Mercer, 62, of Charlotte passed away September 21, 2020 at Levine & Dickson Hospice House.  She was born in Wilson, NC on February 9, 1958 to the late James and Geraldine Winstead.  She is also preceded in death by her husband, James Earl Mercer, and a brother, James Winstead.  Cathy was family oriented and loved her family.  She was a hard worker and a best friend.  She enjoyed trips to the mountains and the beach.

Survivors include her sons, James Mercer and Michael Mercer; brothers, Andy Winstead and Donnie Webb; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members; and best friend, Shirley Serpico.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, September 27, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Shiloh Pentecostal Holiness Church, 5854 Shiloh Church Rd., WIlson, NC 27896.
