Carol Lynn Daye

December 6, 1953 — February 11, 2025

Carol Lynn Daye, born December 6, 1953, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, wife, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2025, surrounded by her family.  She leaves behind a legacy of dedication, hard work, and support that made a lasting impact on all who knew her.

Carol dedicated much of her life to helping others, working with adults and children with disabilities in a residential facility.  Through her dedication and belief in their potential, she helped them develop the skill necessary to lead independent and fulfilling lives.  Carol also worked as a cardiovascular technologist, where her meticulous care and attention to detail impacted countless patients and further demonstrated her commitment to others.  Beyond her professional life, Carol was a woman of many passions.  She loved baking, cooking, reading, and creating beautiful jewelry.

Carol was also an avid lover of nature, with a special fondness for camping, boating, and the ocean.  She found peace and joy in the beauty of the world around her.  She was a devoted "fur mom" to many cats and dogs over the years, with her loyal, precious dog, Bella, remaining a faithful companion.

Carol was preceded in death by her grandmother, Mable Wooster; her son, Robert Shields; her sisters, Theresa Brooker and Barbara Szczepanik; and her brother, Harold Wooster.  She is survived by her husband, William (Bill) Daye; her daughter, Michelle Wetsky; and her siblings, Mary Graham, Carla Frasier, Sandra Lorensen, Linda Woods, and Richard Wooster; and other family members.

Although Carol is no longer with us, her influence, dedication, and commitment to her family and other will continue to be felt.  Her legacy of service and care will remain an inspiration to all who knew her.  She will be missed but never forgotten.  Rest in peach, Carol, knowing your impact endures in all of us.

The family will be having a private ceremony and asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her remembrance to the American Heart Association or the Humane Society.
