Bobbie Ann Hilton Jones

Bobbie Ann Hilton Jones, age 79, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2023, at Morningside of Gastonia. Born on October 27, 1943, in Union County, North Carolina, Bobbie led a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Her passing has left an indelible void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Bobbie was a devout follower of her faith and found solace and joy in attending Gaston Christian Church. Her unwavering devotion to her church community was inspiring and reflected the depth of her faith. She lived her life guided by the principles of compassion, kindness, and selflessness instilled in her through her religious beliefs.

A true adventurer at heart, Bobbie had a deep appreciation for the beauty of nature. The beach was one of her favorite destinations where she would often stroll along the sandy shores, relishing in the calming sound of crashing waves and salty breeze. She also had a passion for travel that allowed her to explore new places and forge lasting connections with people from diverse cultures.

In addition to being an incredible friend to many, Bobbie was a loving mother to her daughter, Crystal Jones Cooper and husband Dale. Their bond was unbreakable, built on a foundation of love, trust, and shared experiences. Bobbie's nurturing spirit shone brightly through her role as a dedicated mother.

Bobbie deeply valued family connections and treasured time spent with loved ones. As she journeys into eternal peace, she is reunited with her beloved husband, Claudelle Jones, in the realm beyond. Their reunion will undoubtedly be filled with boundless love and joyful reminiscing. Bobbie was also preceded in death by her parents, Curtis James Hilton and Kate Lena Kelly Hilton and her seven siblings who undoubtedly shared many unforgettable moments with her throughout their lives.

While her passing has left a deep void, Bobbie's memory will forever remain in the hearts of countless nieces and nephews who were touched by her love and gentle spirit. Each life she touched was forever changed for the better, as she never failed to leave a lasting impression of kindness and compassion.

To honor Bobbie's life, a Memorial Service will be held on October 12, 2023, at Gaston Christian Church. The service will commence at 12:00 PM. The church, located at 5339 S. New Hope Road in Belmont, North Carolina (28012), was not only a place of worship for Bobbie but also a sanctuary where she found solace and community.  Graveside burial services will be held privately by the family.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Bobbie's memory to Gaston Christian Church to support the important work they do to uplift and nurture those around them or to Hospice and Palliative Care Charlotte Region, 7845 Little Ave, Charlotte, NC 28226.
