Billie Jean Meeks, 50, passed away Dec. 31, 2014, at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia.

Ms. Meeks was born in Gaston County on June 3, 1964, to the late Fayne Eugene Meeks and Jewell Darlene Powell. She is also preceded in death by her grandmother, Emma Taylor and uncle, Joe Taylor.

Survivors include her partner in life, Charles "Chuck" Rhoden; daughters, Jessica Rhoden Phillips and husband, Matthew and Jennifer Lynn Rhoden; grandchildren, Justin, Charles, Carson and Mia; sisters, Mona Meeks and Renee Powell; stepfather, Boone Powell; one nephew; three nieces; and aunts, Jeanne Rush and Doris Taylor; special friends, Janice Crisp and Candy Propes.

Memorial services will be held privately by the family.
