Betty Anne Howell

Betty Lowe Howell, 80, of Mt. Holly, formerly of Mooresville, passed away suddenly at her residence on Saturday, October 21, 2017.  Mrs. Howell was born in Iredell County on July 20, 1937 to the late Robert “Bob” Lowe and Bonnie Bumgarner Lowe.  She is preceded in death by her daughter, Tammy “Cissy” Howell.  During her working career days, Betty was the Secretary/Treasurer of her and her husband’s company, H & P Electric in Charlotte.  In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, dancing, music, reading, traveling, cooking, her family and her pets.

Betty is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Marvin “Pops” Howell, Sr.; Children, Marvin “Mark” Howell, Jr., Paul Howell and partner Doc Reedy, and Alex Howell; Brother, Bobby Lowe and wife Lib; and also several nieces and nephews.  A gathering for Betty’s family and friends will be held from 1:00-4:00 PM Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Southside Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, 525 South Broad St., Mooresville, NC.  Inurnment will be private.
