Bessie Lee Killman

January 24, 1926 — March 15, 2017

Bessie Lee Killman, of Charlotte, entered Heaven’s Gates on Wednesday March 15, 2017 at the age of 91. She was born in Crisfield, Maryland on January 24, 1926, daughter of the late James Sterling Sr and Lillian Armistead Sterling. She was also preceded by 2 sons Stanley Jackson Killman, Jr. and Barry Stephen Killman; 4 brothers, James, Preston, Edwin and Randall Sterling and a sister Eva Evans Chapman and a nephew Stephen Sterling, Sr. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children and her grandchildren.  We give thanks to God for our Mother’s life.  She is not forgotten, although we are apart, her spirit lives on in the lives of her children and grandchildren, forever in our hearts.  She was a dedicated child of God who prayed and read her Bible daily.  It was nothing strange to hear her shouting and praising the Lord not only in the church house but in her home as well.  To sum up her life she loved God (always a faithful Christian) and loved her family with a passion, selfless in all her dealings with people, and a hard worker all her life. The memory of a good person is a blessing.  Proverbs 10:7.  Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us every day, unseen, unheard, and but always near, still loved, still missed and very dear.  May you find comfort as you remember the highlights of the past and look forward to the hope of Heaven. Thanks to the caregivers of Affordable Home Health Care for their good care of our Mother as well as Dr. Brian Carroll.. Survivors include children Donna Sizemore and husband Rev. Alfred Sizemore of Vale, NC, Eva Cooper of Mt. Holly, NC and William “Tommy” Killman of Snow Hill, Md.
