Barbara Thomas

Barbara Clark Thomas, 62, of Bessemer City went to her Heavenly Home on February 15, 2017 at the Robin Johnson House in Dallas, NC. Mrs. Thomas was born in Gaston County on July 6, 1954 to the late Ralph Mason Clark and Bobbie Elmore Clark. She is also preceded in death by a daughter, Dawn Thomas Bolandar.  Barbara was a member of Stowe Memorial Baptist Church and was a “Soldier for the Lord” witnessing to others. She was employed with ComServ Inc. She was a lover of shopping, the beach, traveling and especially loved her family, grandchildren and the many friends in her life. Survivors include her loving husband of 45 years Luther “Nelson” Thomas: Daughter, Marcy Thomas Morgan and husband Gary;  Grandchildren, Sierra, Ashley and John; Brothers and sisters, Jodie Clark Phillips of Va. Beach, Becky Clark Grant of Belmont, C.J. Clark and wife Charlene of Belmont, Rhonda Clark Parker of Shelby, Robert Clarke of Belmont and Deanna Elmore Kale and husband Jeff of Lake Wylie, SC. Funeral Services to Celebrate Barbara’s Life will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday Feb. 18 at Benson Funeral Services Chapel in Mt. Holly with Reverends Alan Harris and Terry Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 PM Friday Feb 17 also at the funeral home.
