Barbara Hill Postell

Barbara Hill Postell, 66, of Mt. Holly was born on October 20th, 1947, to the late Boyd and Stella Ham-Hill, and went home to be with her Lord on April 15th, 2014 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia.

Memorial Services to celebrate her life will be at 7:00 PM Friday April 18 at Unity Baptist Church in Belmont with Rev. Joe Lawing officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. She is survived by three children: Mark Postell, Freida Phillips and Fiance, Josh Earley, Rodie Spurling and husband, Jason Spurling. Grandchildren: Christopher Postell, Cody Postell, Courtney Postell, Dominque Phillips, Tapaingya Phillips, Gauge Spurling, Sage Spurling and Jondon Spurling. Brothers: J.B Hill and David Hill. Sisters: Virginia H. Smith, Maxine H. Cannon, Dalla H. Chaney and Shirley H. Ferguson. Numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, John H. Postell. Brother: Troy Hill. Sisters: Geraldine Hill, Inez Hill, Peggy H. Moses and Elsie H. Fisher.

Barbara loved her children, grandchildren, her brothers and sisters, dearly. She loved being with her family, having a good time, laughing and dancing. She loved to dance! Anytime, anyplace or anywhere there was music playing, she was dancing.

We will miss her contagious laughter, her smile, and those looks ... those looks, that only she could make, but most of all, Her! We love you, Mom, Meme, Sister, Aunt and Friend ... you will be missed greatly!
