Arthur Eugene McLendon

Arthur Eugene McLendon of Charlotte , died suddenly at his home, Monday August 10, 2015. He was born November 30, 1937 in Charlotte to the late Mildred and L. L. McLendon. He was also preceded in death by his beloved Son, Darren McLendon; Brothers, Charles and Sonny McLendon; and Sister Dorothy Winchester. Those left to cherish Gene`s memory include his devoted wife, Sue Penley McLendon; Son, Benny McLendon of Belmont, NC; Daughter, Rhonda Pentecost (Will) of Virginia; Brother, Edward McLendon and wife Brenda; 4 Grandchildren; and 5 Great-Grandchildren.

A service to celebrate Gene`s life will be at the church he loved and was a devoted member, Pritchard Memorial Baptist Church, 1117 South Blvd. at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 14. Family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m. before service. Inurnment will be private

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to PMBC Benevolent Fund.
