Angelo Anthony

Angelo Anthony, beloved son, father, partner, and friend, passed away on June 23, 2024 at Caromont Regional Medical Center. Angelo was born in Mecklenburg County on September 3, 1960, to the late Clinton and Mary Anthony.

Angelo was known for his kind and compassionate nature. He found joy in helping others, whether it was through his work as a handyman, cutting grass for a friend or neighbor, or simply by lending a listening ear. His sense of humor brightened the lives of those around him and left a impact on all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, Angelo is preceded in death by his son, D-Angelo "D" Anthony; his brothers, Clinton Anthony Jr. and Michael Anthony; and stepfather, Elbert Mathis. Although their physical presence is no longer with us, their memories will live on in the hearts of those who knew them as well.

Survivors include Angelo's significant other, Karen "Susie" Tribble; his son, Zarek James Anthony; as well as his beloved pets, Victoria and Lucy. Their love and support brought light into Angelo's life and will continue to be a source of comfort during this difficult time.

A visitation in memory of Angelo Anthony will be held on June 28, 2024, from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at Benson Funeral & Cremation Services located at 101 Oak Grove St., Mt. Holly, NC 28120.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Shriner's Hospital for Children by clicking on the donation link below.

Angelo will be deeply missed but never forgotten. May he rest in peace knowing that he was loved by many and that his legacy lives on through those who were fortunate enough to have known him.
