Angela Marshelle Curtis, born on August 4, 1970, in Gaston County, NC, peacefully passed away at her residence on February 12, 2024. She was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, fiancée, cousin, and friend. Angela lived a life filled with love, compassion, and deep appreciation for the simple joys of life.
Angela's infectious spirit touched the lives of all who knew her. Her warm smile and kind heart brought comfort to those around her. She was deeply devoted to her faith and was a proud member of the Open Bible Assembly Church. Angela found solace in her spiritual beliefs and shared her love for God with everyone she encountered.
Throughout her life, Angela embraced various hobbies and interests that brought her immense joy. She had an adventurous spirit and loved to travel. Exploring new places allowed her to appreciate the beauty of the world and create cherished memories. Angela also had a passion for painting and used it as a means of self-expression. Her artwork was a reflection of the vibrant colors that filled her life.
In addition to painting, Angela had a unique appreciation for yardwork. She would spend hours working in the yard and meticulously maintained it with a push mower. The tranquility of nature brought peace to her soul as she admired the scenery of the mountains or reveled in the soothing sound of ocean waves.
Angela's proudest accomplishment was being a loving mother to her twin daughters, Kaylee and Brenda Curtis. Their bond was unbreakable, filled with unconditional love and support. As they navigated through their lives together, Angela instilled in them values of kindness, empathy, and resilience that will forever guide them.
She is survived by her Fiancé, Jerry Truett; her parents, Big John Curtis Sr. and Ann Gilbert Curtis; daughters, Kaylee and Brenda Curtis; brother, John Curtis Jr. and his wife Maria; her close cousin, Dee Curtis; along with numerous other cousins. Angela cherished the time she spent with her family and friends, and her love for each of them will endure beyond her physical presence.
A Funeral Service honoring the beautiful life of Angela will be held on Monday February 19, 2024 at Open Bible Assembly Church ,108 Jenkins St., Dallas NC with Pastor Kevin Busler officiating. The service will commence at 1:00 PM to celebrate the memories shared and the legacy she leaves behind. Prior to the service, a visitation will take place from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM to provide an opportunity for loved ones to pay their final respects. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery in Mt. Holly.
Angela's departure has left a void in our hearts that can never be filled. However, as we mourn her loss, let us also cherish the countless memories she gifted us and carry forward her spirit of love and kindness. May she rest in eternal peace as we hold her memory close to our hearts.
