Alan J. Patsy C. Davis

Alan J. Davis age 91 passed away on December 14, 2020 and his wife Patsy C. Davis age 89 passed away on July 7, 2020. Mr. Davis was born in Charlotte, NC on June 12, 1929 to the late William Cleveland Davis and Flossie Caton Davis. Alan was the last of six children. He and his wife Patsy were longtime members of St. Andrews United Methodist Church where he was  active with the Methodist Men's Group and also on the Parrish staff. He was a graduate of Old Central High School and also the University of North Carolina. Alan proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Davis was the owner and operator of Davis & Davis Realty Company in Charlotte. He and his wife were both members of Cedarwood Country Club where they enjoyed golf together. They loved playing Bridge, Square Dancing, jogging, and loved all types of water sports on Lake Norman. Patsy loved her family and her home. They were both survived by numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service to Celebrate them both will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM, February 13th at St. Andrews United Methodist Church, 1901 Archdale Dr., Charlotte, NC 28210, with Reverend Sherry Barnes officiating. There will also be a Graveside Service with Honors that will be held for Mr. Davis on Saturday, February 13 at 1:00 PM at Evergreen Cemetery, 4426 Central Ave. in Charlotte. In lieu of flowers please make memorial donations to the church.
